Soft Opening

Today I am doing a soft reopening of my etsy shop. Not going crazy with promotions and adding items until everything is sorted out. But I figured It wouldn't hurt to get things back up and running slowly.

Check out the updates to the shop and some of the items I just added:

Etsy Shop is Coming Back!

After being absent from Etsy for almost a year and a half, I have decided to re-open the ANiemanDesign shop.

There is nothing in there quite yet but will be filling up fast and soon. In the next couple weeks I hope to return some of my current inventory back to the shop. I realized I do not have time to work on custom orders so it will only be pre-made items.

I miss my creative outlet and want to work on more of my crocheting and photography on my down time. Look for more posts about when the items hit the store!

New Items in My Etsy Shop

I added two new items to my Etsy Shop today. One is a set of four Emerald Green Placemats. They are washable and available for order in other colors.

The second is another iPad Mini case. This one is in a yarn called Zebra, a mix of black and white dyed yarn. This like many of the items in my shop is available for custom order!

I Have Pantry Envy

My house is not big enough to have a pantry like this, although I keep scheming on how to re-finagle the kitchen to ad one in. I have a feeling I will be dreaming for a while!

Santa Wine

What a great way to dress up a gift for the season. You can even use this for other drinks like soda, beer, or even try it on the glasses in your cabinet!

Avant-Garde Art and Craft Show

Yesterday was my first craft show and the first Avant-Garde Art and Craft show in Akron. It was at the Tangier and all in all it was a good day for me.  I had a great experience with my husband and we had some great friends and family stop by and show their support.

There were some glitches which I think would be expected from all shows on their first year at a certain location. We lacked wifi in our spot but luckily it didn't cost me any sales. There were also some lighting issues in the other rooms, but I think they will have that all fixed by the Spring show.

I am very happy I participated and can't wait to do my next show. In the mean time I will be adding all my unsold items to my Etsy shop. I am still taking custom orders on scarves until this coming Friday the 7th for xmas. Unfortunately I will not be able to finish any afghans or larger items because of other larger orders in the que.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions about ordering my products or other services I have listed on my website.

What I am Thankful For

During this holiday season it is traditional to go over what you are really thankful for and reflect. Each year I put it off a little and don’t really reflect like I should. But with recent events being as they are, I decided that now more than ever I need to reflect on what I have rather than what I don’t have.

First and foremost I am thankful for my supportive husband. We just got married this year but we have been together for almost 9 years and each year I love him even more. He has been of great support during my recent job loss and his positive outlook as meant so much to me.

Next my family. I have a support structure in my family that although not perfect, they are there for me and I appreciate their love. I can’t wait to see them all this Thanksgiving.

My friends, during times like this you learn which friends are authentic and actually think of you the same way you think of them. The support of friendly laughter, a good story or a friendly hug make each day easier than the next. I know that my support system is something that can be envied. I am thankful for the knowledge that if even harder times come I will have people around me who care and want to help.

I finally am very thankful to you my readers. You help keep my work going and to know that you enjoy what I am putting out there gives me great pride. I don’t have a ton of follows like some blogs, but I am thankful for each of you and your support through the years.

I hope everyone has a great holiday this Thanksgiving and I will see ya’ll back here on Friday!
