Psychology of color notwithstanding it really is a matter of what you can bear to look at every day - I dislike dark colors on my walls; red in the dining room is ubiquitous and off-putting to me; pink for a girls room is a cliche - some girls don't actually like pink! Nope, my personal taste is for light and clean and bright - hence my current home and new home are painted banana cream....so light and cheerful.
Grace, Thanks for your comment! Although studies have shown these colors to evoke certain feelings it definitely does not mean we need to put them in our homes. Each persons house is unique and should be!
