Color Inspiration

Color can be one of the most challenging components in a design. Many people stumble over putting colors together and either live with their mistakes or avoid color all together.

If you are trying to put together your own home design without a designer the first thing I suggest investing in is a color wheel. You can find them at your local craft and art supply store. (If you don't want to take on the color dilemma yourself I would be more than happy to help you with a color consultation. Email me at animenandesign@gmail.com).

The color wheel can help you match colors whether you are trying to blend blues or using a contrasting color scheme.

The next step is to figure out what colors you are going to use in your design. Finding your color inspiration can be as easy as picking your favorite color. If you have been following this serious you have already found your piece that is inspiring your room design. This is a great place to pull color from. If it's a piece of art what colors are in the piece. An artist created this piece of art and artist have fabulous understandings of color( or else they wouldn't be good at what they do).

You can also find your color inspiration from others designs in magazines or on blogs. Like artist, designers wouldn't be doing what they do if they didn't have a great comprehension of color. If you are interested in keeping up with the latest design trends, design blogs and magazines always showcase the latexes trends in color.

Alright it's time for your homework! Go pick up you color wheel, look through magazines and take a look back on some of my previous blog posts for some color inspirations. If you really feel confused, email me for a color consultation!

Next week I will be tackling the intricacies of the color wheel!
